Welcome back to another article. First of all, apologies for the late upload. In this article, we will be talking about some life stories of Quentin Tarantino that you probably didn't know. Since a couple of days ago Quentin Tarantino announced his 10th and final film 'The Movie Critic'. Although not much is known about the film but the early rumors describe the story being set in late 1970s Los Angeles with a female lead. With this film, Quentin Tarantino will give farewell to the cinema. End of an era.




So, we took this moment to bring you the life story of Quentin Tarantino. He is one of those self-taught directors who never went to a film school but he did take acting classes at James Best theatre company.


Quentin Tarantino worked at a video archive store which to him was his film school. Quentin Tarantino once said I didn't go to film school, I went to films. Quentin Tarantino has seen more films than we will ever see in our lifetime. Quentin Tarantino's love for cinema can be known through the encyclopedia knowledge of films. Tarantino has often credited his time at the video store as being a major influence on his filmmaking style, as it allowed him to watch and study a wide range of movies from different genres and eras. He also met many of his future collaborators and friends, including actor Tim Roth and producer Lawrence Bender, while working at Video Archives.




In fact, the idea for his breakthrough film, "Reservoir Dogs," came to him while he was working at the store, as he was inspired by the conversations he had with customers about different movies and their characters. It just goes to show that sometimes, even a seemingly mundane job can lead to great things!


In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2019, Tarantino revealed that he writes all of his scripts on a typewriter. He explained that he finds the tactile experience of typing on a typewriter to be more immersive and focused than using a computer and that it allows him to get into the mindset of the characters and the time period in which the story.




Another interesting fact about Quentin Tarantino is that he is a collector of 35mm film prints and projection equipment. He has been known to personally project films at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, which he also owns and operates. In addition to his passion for preserving film history, Tarantino is also a vocal critic of digital projection, stating that it does not capture the full beauty and texture of traditional film projection. His dedication to preserving the art of cinema is truly admirable, and it is a testament to his love and appreciation for the craft.




And if you are a die-hard Quentin Tarantino fan you are definitely aware of his obsession with feet. If you've seen some of his movies, you may have noticed that he often includes shots of feet, and his characters are sometimes shown wearing unique or interesting footwear. This has led some people to speculate that Tarantino has a foot fetish, and he has even addressed the topic in interviews.
